Our Story
We, Donkey and Dolly, are proud to cheer on Hope’s Legacy Equine Rescue during The Goat Games 2024! Donkey was part of a law enforcement seizure in 2015 that further inspired Hope’s Legacy to continue growing to meet the need for equine rescue services in Virginia. This fuzzy, loving guy is a survivor and we are all inspired by him. He needed a buddy, so Dolly is now his constant companion. They come as a package deal and now live at our permanent home, Castle Rock Farm, that was purchased in 2017. The rescue took in 127 equines last year alone! Donkey and Dolly let out a hee-haw to greet each new arrival. So, with such significant need we are now finishing our first major construction project on the farm, an eight-stall Intake Barn that will help us treat horses with high medical needs as well as dedicated space for foaling mares. Donkey and Dolly love watching the farm grow! Thank you for Donkey and Dolly! We are so grateful for you. Any donation goes directly to supporting horses, donkeys, mules, and miniature horses in need.
