Our Story
Oahu SPCA was founded to save the lives of companion animals across the islands of Hawaii and became the first no-kill animal shelter in Hawaii's history. For 15 years, Oahu SPCA has dared to challenge the status quo by improving the lives of homeless, feral, abandoned, and abused dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies throughout Hawaii. In doing this work, the Oahu SPCA became much more than the state’s first and only no-kill animal shelter. The Oahu SPCA is a community center where families come together, volunteer, and learn what it means to be a responsible pet owner. Oahu SPCA also provides the lowest cost sterilization and veterinary services available to the public and has been humanely reducing the homeless pet population by doing so.
